Hotel Santa Apolónia

The room was comfortable and clean, the staff really friendly, and breakfast offered a tremendous range of food and drinks. We stayed for two nights to explore Bragança and the countryside around it. The free car park only a few paces away was a real plus. Reaching the center took about a 20-minute walk along a quiet, tree-lined road. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

I really appreciated having lactose-free choices at breakfast. I've never had that at the bigger hotels where I've stayed. The place was so clean and everyone on staff was super friendly. Honestly, I had a fantastic experience and would 10000% recommend staying here.

We slept well in our nice room, and the bathroom looked recently refurbished. It's a small, friendly family hotel with good value and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was okay, and the staff speak some basic English. Parking is free, though unsecured. Building work nearby starts at 8 a.m., and the hotel was tricky to locate: it's up a small street opposite the Politecnico, so look for the orange sign. We had an excellent dinner at "O Grelhador" just around the corner. I'd stay here again.

The bathrooms are modern and really nice, and they even provide a bath rope for each guest, a nice extra. The wooden beds are the one thing I'd change, since different beds could make the hotel feel really fancy. There is plenty of parking, and while it's not very central, the town is small enough that it was fine. Breakfast was okay, with scrambled eggs as the only cooked option, plus about three cheeses and a couple of kinds of ham. The juice wasn't great because it wasn't natural. Reception staff were super nice. The hotel has everything you need for a stay in braganza.
