The staff were young, friendly and helpful, and there are good facilities, including toilets and washing areas. The bar has a balcony with a wide view and stays open from 7am to 11pm. We found good prices too, for example, two adults, a German Shepherd and a Land Rover with a rooftop tent cost €16 per night. There's no fixed checkout time. The campground is quiet and calm, with a fresh river beach and a beautiful stretch of river under the bridge at the far end. There's also a shaded children's playground. Bragança is about 3 km away, with lots of markets nearby. Great spot, we'd recommend it.

There are barbecue spots around the grounds, and one near us had plenty of unburnt charcoal. Bring firelighters from the supermarket. The bar and cafe have nice outdoor seating, and the beer is reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Coming into Portugal from Spain, this is the first campsite you'll reach, and it's a gem. The site has separate areas for campers and caravans and for tents, each with its own washrooms and toilets. Everything was very clean, with hot water at the taps and in the showers.

We had very helpful, lovely staff, and the cafe service was good if you don't feel like cooking. There are plenty of pitches, nice showers, a kitchen area and tubs for hand washing clothes. The campsite is right by the river, with lots of walking trails where you can take your dog. Groceries in town are only a short drive away.

The friendly, helpful staff made for a really nice stay. We came twice this season and have already planned to stop here again next year. The cafe is reasonably priced, though it could use some work, and the toilets are a little old but in good condition. We've seen much worse at other campsites. The grounds are beautiful, with terraces that still need more work. The place changed owners a few times and was closed for several years, so the new owners have had a lot of overdue maintenance to catch up on. You can't do everything in one year. Keep up the good work!
