The location is the only real plus here. Breakfast was awful, and there weren’t enough towels in the room. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re an athlete, and I’m definitely not coming back.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly. My friend Michelle and I asked Samuel for recommendations since we were close to everything but wanted some good suggestions. On the first night, he pointed us to Walkabout for cocktails, only about a five-minute walk away. The next evening we asked about dinner, and his suggestion, Maria dos Cacos, was the highlight of our trip, around seven minutes from the hotel. Thanks for being so kind, Samuel. We’ll be back! :)

You get more than your money’s worth here. The service was great too, which sadly isn’t always what you find when traveling.

The fire alarm kept going off between midnight and 3:30 AM, so nobody could sleep and the place was chaotic. The receptionist then called my room several times, accusing me of smoking even though I don’t smoke. He also told other guests my name and room number while repeating the accusation. That was humiliating and a serious invasion of privacy. I raised it with him in the morning, but he wouldn’t admit he was wrong or take responsibility. The alarm wasn’t investigated until the next day, which left me wondering what would have happened if there had actually been a fire. The way this was handled showed little concern for guest safety or health. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. The place felt badly managed, unprofessional, and unsafe, and I’d tell people to stay somewhere else. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
