The hosts were a real joy and went out of their way for us. Mrs. Fernanda and Mr. João felt more like true friends than hosts. The restored windmill is beautiful, and the garden and facilities are lovely. There are sweeping views that make for a perfect sunset, plus a well equipped kitchen for cooking. At night it's wonderfully quiet, with complete privacy. It feels like a little piece of heaven. If you feel like exploring, the best beaches and restaurants by the ocean and lagoon are very close. Óbidos is just a 10 minute drive, and the historic centre of Caldas da Rainha is beautiful too. Don't miss this gem!

It's a lovely spot for a few days away from the modern world, with the mill's old fashioned character taking you back in time. The restored mill has a kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom, decorated to suit its era. Its sails still work and are set turning on some festive occasions. Outside, there's a pool and a porch with a barbecue, and the views are very good. Just be aware that the stairs make it unsuitable for people with mobility problems.

A restored mill with its original decor, in a very peaceful setting. A lovely choice for a romantic weekend or a holiday somewhere a little different.
