Apartment Laranjeiras

The apartment has a great view, and Garry was kind and helpful when we checked in early. Street parking was easy enough. But the terrace was so windy that we rarely sat out there, and the apartment itself was noisy at night because it’s right by the road. We knew about the noise beforehand, though light sleepers should bring earplugs. There’s plenty of space, but the place feels very dated and needs major renovation. A lot of the furniture and fixtures are old or broken. We reported the loose shower bracket on our first day, but it still hadn’t been fixed after 10 days, and Garry never got back to us about it. The bedding was just thin, old blankets, so some nights we were cold. Cleaning on arrival was superficial too: there was old dust, hair and huge cobwebs around. The apartment needs a proper deep clean as well as updating. We were disappointed and wouldn’t book it again.
