The garden was such a lovely place to spend a quiet afternoon, and we could take a quick swim in the river before drying off somewhere private. Everything was peaceful and surrounded by greenery. The staff were kind and helped with all our questions and requests, and breakfast was great too. My partner and I stayed five nights and had exactly the restful break we needed after a busy year at work. We already want to return.

The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal, with really fresh, high quality food. Our room was beautifully furnished, and the bathroom was lovely too. The garden is gorgeous and makes you want to sit and unwind. The photos don't quite show how beautiful this place is, and you can tell the owner has a real eye for detail. One of the best guesthouses or hotels we've stayed in. Thanks again to the team for making our visit so nice.

The owners were wonderful, and I managed to leave a piece of jewelry behind in my room. They kindly held onto it until I could come and collect it. It's a peaceful countryside spot with lovely grounds that are clearly well cared for.

Set in the old village of Vilar do Mouros, this little resort is a short drive from Caminha, the Minho River and the Atlantic. The gardens and stonework are beautiful, and the old mill beside a swimming hole on the Coura River has been turned into a comfortable mix of historic stone and modern design. It feels like a magical pocket of privacy, with friendly staff and lovely surroundings.

A great spot for stepping away from everyday life and relaxing. The renovation is remarkable and keeps the place's history intact, and there's access to the river beach. The location is amazing.
