The pool situation was disgusting. Dogs are allowed in the pool, which felt completely unsanitary. The place is quite old and, for what it offers, far too expensive, maybe because there isn't much competition nearby. It doesn't even provide complimentary drinking water in the rooms, though a 1L bottle of mineral water costs 20 cents at the supermarket. I wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel, 3 stars at most. Luckily, I only stayed one night.

The pool was clean, unheated, and had a lovely sunny spot sheltered from the wind. The sauna and steam room were great, and I'd book the tour massage in advance if you're only stopping for one night. Inside, everything felt modern, clean, and tidy. My room was spacious and uncluttered, and breakfast had an excellent selection.

I had the pool to myself, then enjoyed chicken salad for dinner. Wendy at the front desk was awesome, and Dantas at the Bar was excellent. My first Super Bock was great too. There was a great spread at breakfast. Thank you! Peace ✌️ Lainey 🇺🇸

The staff were very friendly, and the location was great. But I was in room 225 for one night while doing the Camino, and some kind of unit in the ceiling kept switching on and off, making a terrible noise all night. They moved me to another floor at midnight. This seems to be a recurring complaint, but the hotel appears to ignore it, perhaps because most gusts stay just one night. If you want a good night's sleep, avoid this hotel.

We felt so comfortable here, almost at home, that our planned one night on the way back from the Caminho turned into a longer stay. The pool was nice and the staff super friendly. We also visited Quinta da Quinhas, a very lovely place. Muito obrigada. We will definitely come again ❤️
