Gerês Nature House

The host was always ready to help, which we really appreciated. We also loved the heated pool and the garden, which was set up perfectly for eating outside. The house had everything we needed for that, and the rooms were comfortable. It was clean and welcoming, and being surrounded by nature and quiet made it a real escape. The photos are lovely, but seeing the place in person was even better. I left wanting to return.

We loved having our own meals in the fully equipped kitchen, then settling into the comfortable, spotless house. The double-height living room was especially relaxing, and the welcoming decor and windows brought the scenery indoors. Outside, the porch looks over the pool and green grounds, where the views change through the day. It’s wonderfully quiet, with nature as the only sound. Gerês Nature House sits in the forest in Campo do Gerês, close to trails, waterfalls and viewpoints. It feels secluded while still giving easy access to all of that, a nice balance for adventure and calm. Our hosts, Sílvia and Manuel, were kind and available, shared useful tips about the area, and helped make the stay go smoothly. Our time here felt restorative and unforgettable, a real break from everyday bustle. It’s more than a holiday house to me, it felt like a sanctuary. We’re already planning another few peaceful days here, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone wanting to switch off and reconnect with themselves and nature.

The garden was beautifully cared for, with room to eat outdoors and all the conveniences we needed. The heated pool was a real highlight, and the quiet setting made it easy to rest. The house is lovely, tastefully done, and has everything for a peaceful stay in Gerês. Set among nature, it felt serene and refreshing. I’ve always liked coming back to Gerês, and this time I found the house I want to return to. We came as a family, and there was loads of outdoor space for the kids to play. The garden shower was a great touch too, such a nice way to wash off with the sounds of nature around you. Between the scenery, the nature all around, and lying on the grass looking at the stars, I could really leave daily stress behind. I’m sure this will be my first choice next time I’m in the area. Nowhere else in Gerês has given us such a unique experience. I highly recommend it.
