The location itself was interesting, but there were several reasons we decided not to stay. The room smelled strongly of mildew. I can’t say for certain what was in the walls, but I’d advise anyone with lung issues to avoid it. The bathroom was also a long way from the sleeping area, with lots of steps between them, which wasn’t something we wanted to deal with at night. We took a beautiful walk to the nearby lookout. On the way back, two dogs chained together attacked us. Their owner came over, then acted as if we were at fault and asked about our nationality. We found her threatening, so we cancelled our three night stay and didn’t sleep there. We told the owner what happened and asked for a refund for two nights, which seemed fair, especially since the mildew smell hadn’t been mentioned. The reply we received was xenophobic and effectively blamed us for the dog attack. I was fortunate to know how to handle aggressive dogs. I’m terrified to think what might have happened if I’d had a small child with me.
