Apartments Madeira

We had a spacious apartment with Atlantic views and everything we needed except a washing machine. It's a good alternative to the usually pricier hotels. Shops, restaurants, and a beach are all about a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Funchal takes around 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes on the local bus, whose stop is right in front of the building. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The views are breathtaking, and there's an unusual playground nearby with long slides running down the “mountain.” For anything else to see, you'll need to drive or take a bus. Small shops and cafes are about a 10-minute walk away. The apartment itself was gorgeous, cozy, and spotless. The bedroom was spacious and quiet, and the living room had everything we needed, including a big wooden table for meals or working. The kitchen had plenty of pans, bowls, cups, and glasses. There were lots of towels and hooks in the bathroom, which you don't often get in a rental, though it would be nice if the door locked. The pool area had lots of furniture, a fireplace nearby, and books in different languages.

We've stayed here four times now and feel completely at home. The accommodation and location suit us perfectly, and it's a lovely, welcoming family business. Couldn't ask for much more.
