Hotel Roca Mar

We chose this hotel for its amenities, but the hours made them hard to use. The pool shuts at 8:00 PM and the sauna is open only from 4:00-8:00 PM, so you'd have to plan your day around that narrow schedule. Advertising amenities with such limited availability felt misleading. The hotel overpromises and underdelivers. Save your money and book elsewhere. From the moment we arrived, we felt booking here was a mistake. The bathroom had an overwhelming smell, like someone had just taken the biggest dump imaginable. The shower also hadn't been cleaned properly, with hair and debris still there, which is basic hygiene and completely unacceptable. The room felt tired and neglected. The hair dryer looked like it was made in the 1970s and barely worked. Honestly, the experience felt more like a two-star resort in Cuba than what the price and photos had led us to expect. Cleanliness, basic upkeep, and realistic expectations were all missing.

The hotel is in a beautiful area, which makes a great first impression. The older part has impressively spacious rooms, and they were very clean and thoroughly serviced. There are plenty of sunbeds, many with some privacy, though there aren't many umbrellas. The food tastes good but could use more variety, and the drinks are very good. One waitress stood out for her kindness and dedication, clearly doing more than the rest of the staff. Some things let it down: the coffee wasn't good, and snacks that should have been served between meals were often unavailable. Even when the bar wasn't busy, the staff didn't come over to the tables. For such a high all-inclusive price, the standard and service could definitely be better, though the hotel has plenty of positives and potential.

The views are absolutely amazing, and everything was spotless. Special mention to the lovely housekeeping staff. The food, drinks, and facilities were excellent, too. They made our Wedding Anniversary extra special with a bottle of iced bubbly and a card in our room, such a thoughtful touch. We had a memorable week and couldn't fault anything. We'll definitely book here again!

A lovely place right on the shoreline, with nice coastal walks nearby. Breakfast was awesome, and the staff were very friendly.
