Sentido Galomar - Adults Only

The cliff-view rooms were quiet, comfortable, and had incredible, wide-open views. I also loved the spa and pools, especially the saunas, some of the nicest I've seen. Breakfast and food at the Atlantis restaurant were excellent, with great views, and everyone on staff was friendly and motivated. A wonderful place for a relaxing adults' vacation. We'll definitely return. Best hotel I've stayed in.

The rooms were great, the bar was nice, and there were some really lovely staff. The food was great too. Funchal isn't too far, but it's definitely not walkable, and like much of Madeira, the route is hilly. The hotel has pools, including an indoor one, plus a spa and gym I didn't get to use. It's spread over several levels, but the lifts make getting around manageable. I liked it so much I might come back.

Everyone was so friendly, especially Nico the cat. It was my first trip to Madeira, and I know I'll be back. I appreciated the table for people dining alone, though I didn't use it this time and might another visit. The gym and spa were great, and I made good use of them during my short stay. The staff there were really helpful and friendly too.

The hotel stay itself was positive, and parking is manageable once you know how to pay. But be careful if you arrive with a rental car: there's no hotel parking, so you have to park on the street. The pay point is on the sidewalk and accepts cards. Hotel staff told us it only took coins. While we were considering going to an ATM, we got a parking ticket within 10 minutes. We haven't been able to pay it online, and it looks like we'll face a hefty fee from both the private parking operator and our rental agency. The hotel should do a better job of warning guests.
