As someone with mobility issues, I found the staff amazing and the food great. There are ramps into the restaurant and room, and the bathroom has enough room for a walker or wheelchair. Getting into reception is tight, though, as a manual wheelchair only just fits through the door. The restaurant has no elevator. To reach it, you have to go outside, down a fairly steep hill around the front, then up a long ramp. The bathroom is roomy overall, but the toilet is very low and there’s little space to maneuver into the shower. I didn’t use it or ask about a seat.

Margarida and Débora made our stay a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the room was spacious, spotless, and looked out toward the pool. We loved the fantastic dinners and breakfasts, and the staff were wonderful. We’d definitely come back.

I left the spa feeling worse, which is pretty awful when you go in hoping to relax. The massage was unprofessional, with giggling and whispering throughout. The masseuses apparently didn’t realize I understood Portuguese. When I told the front desk I wouldn’t pay for the massage, I expected them to ask why or let me explain. They just said “okay,” which made it seem like this happens often. I absolutely love going to a spa, but I wouldn’t recommend this one.

The place was calm and quiet, a lovely fit for a family holiday. Our apartment was modern, clean, and beautiful, and both the food and service were excellent. We had a lovely time with the family.
