We had a very pleasant, peaceful stay in a well-kept area, and I'd recommend having a car. The balcony views were great, the apartment was clean, and the kitchen and dining/living room were fully equipped. There was AC, and the staff were friendly. We didn't eat at the on-site restaurant. The place is a little dated, and the furniture could use an update.

Beautiful, relaxing place with amazing views and lovely staff. The townhouses are incredible, and the pool is great, although it closes around 7pm. Nobody asks you to leave when it closes. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that a poolside hut for drinks and crisps would be great. They'd make a mint!

We loved The Algarve. There’s plenty to explore, from beaches and caves to walks and slide parks. The sea is clear, with lots to see in it, and Praia do Rocha was my favourite beach. SandCity is best after 8pm when the lights are on, and Zoomarine offers swimming with dolphins if that appeals to you. The property has two floors, with the beds downstairs, a large sitting room and dining area, plus a good-sized balcony with amazing sea views. The facilities are great, and the swimming pool is just a stroll away, with soft, comfortable loungers. Shame there are no refreshments by the pool. Maid service was very good. There aren’t many amenities nearby, so you really need a car. There are two smart restaurants: Hexagone is the poshest and perhaps quite expensive. The other is a pizza place beside the little local shop, a walk down the road from Sesmarias towards Lagoa. With a car, keep going to Aldi, Lidl and the other big supermarkets. Have fun!

There’s a secluded beach nearby, though getting down to it means tackling steep steps, and you’ll want to check the tides. Supermarkets and restaurants are close by too. We really enjoyed our stay.
