The location made for a lovely holiday, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Just don't count on the advertised five-minute walk to the beach unless you fancy going over a cliff. Getting to the actual beach took more like 10-15 minutes. We stayed in ground-floor apartment no.11 for a week. It's old-fashioned, but clean and well equipped. The beds creaked so much that we were afraid to turn over and wake our toddler in the travel cot in our room. My 15-year-old also thought the TVs should be smart TVs with more English channels.

The apartment has lovely views looking out and down towards the sea, and the small complex never felt too busy. There are good facilities in the room and a shop right across the road. I'd recommend stopping at Earth on the corner for breakfast.

We had a spacious apartment and a generous terrace overlooking the pool, with a sea view, loungers, a table and chairs. The kitchen was well equipped too, with a large fridge-freezer, mini oven, microwave, electric hob, kettle and toaster.

The owners were so welcoming and friendly, and the apartment was spacious and fully stocked, with nice views and a nice pool. Really exceptional. Good for couples or families.

If you're after Portuguese food made with local organic farm produce, this place is for you. The coffee was amazing, the eggs were perfect, and the bread, jam and honey seemed as organic as it gets. Highly recommended.
