On our last evening, a locksmith crew arrived without warning at 21:30 to change the apartment door lock. We had already decided to leave well before the rental agreement’s end date because the conditions were spoiling our holiday. The apartment was damp, uncomfortable, and smelled bad, more like a poorly maintained hostel than a home. It badly needs renovation. The furniture was disgusting and long past its useful life. Mattresses were worn, stained, and wreak, with mold spots on at least two. The pillows smelled intolerable, the bedding was tattered, and the bathrooms were in disrepair, with moldy ceilings, damaged tiles, and mildew stains. Towels were mismatched, ragged, and faded. Most of the basic appliances didn’t work properly. The contact person was unreliable and unresponsive. The apartment is in an older building being renovated, so construction noise went on constantly during the day. When it rained, water seeped into the 8th floor hallway, where mold was clearly visible on the ceiling. We’ve traveled extensively and understand that places in Europe can be dated, but we’ve never stayed anywhere nearly this bad. This place seems to have had no improvement investments in decades. Stay away.

The smell of mold and urine is relentless, and it clings to your clothes and belongings even after checkout. I don’t know how this place is allowed to operate. It feels like a toxic waste dump and is hazardous to your health.

The room was filthy and disappointing. The sheets were dirty, the bathroom was rusty and damp, the shower pressure was very low, and the air-conditioned was broken. The door had a handle for opening and closing it. There was no soap or shampoo, and the coffee left for us didn’t fit the machine. The water boiler kept tripping the main differential switch. They advertise free internet, but there was no open wi-fi and no instructions for connecting. There was no reception, and nobody answered on booking. The room they gave us was horrible, on the first floor.

The location was fabulous, but it clearly hasn’t had much maintenance for a while and the place smelled old and damp. Finding parking in the evening or at night is extremely difficult.

This run-down hotel has been converted into an appartment complex. Don’t expect hotel services. I’m not sure why it’s still advertised as a hotel when there are NO SERVICES AT ALL: no restaurant, no bar, NO POOL. You rent an appartment from its owner. Some owners offer great value, while others are scam.
