Placid Village

The decor was beautiful and clean, and our spacious room had all the amenities we needed. We especially liked the balcony overlooking the garden, the fireplace, and being able to use the pool late. A big plus for me was that the coffee was made from ground beans, not instant. For one of the more affordable resorts in the area, we were really happy with what we found.

A lot of guests partied every night until 6 a.m., often with loud music. Staff didn't step in or remind them to keep it down, which was disruptive. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet.

We had a pleasant stay in a wonderful apartment. It had a large living room, a usable kitchen, a refrigerator, and even a terrace for hanging swimming suits. Parking was right outside, and the staff were nice and friendly. The one problem was the air conditioner, which needs cleaning ASAP. It smelled strongly of mildew when turned on, so we opened the window instead. We were on the ground floor, which made that a bit inconvenient.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the pool area was nice. The rest of our family had cleaner rooms with better views and were happy, but my room smelled like sewage the whole time and had a lot of mold in the shower. It was meant to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, yet four of us had only one shower. We were 12 people travelling for a wedding, and this was our fourth hotel. The others had all put us close together, so it was disappointing to be spread across four buildings despite booking months ahead. Continental breakfast cost €12.50 and had to be reserved the day before, with seating for only about 20, so we skipped it. We had paid €10 for a full breakfast in Lisbon. The hotel is quite far from town and needs a cafe or restaurant.
