Quinta Nova Vale Del Rey

We visited for a few nights in low season, when there were so few other guests that the stay felt almost private. The hotel is beautifully situated near beaches and the seven hanging valleys trail, and the woman who runs it was pleasant and made sure we were comfortable. Our room was nice, though an unpleasant smell stayed with us the whole time, possibly from cheap cleaning detergent, sewage, or a mix of the two. Still, a good stay and great value for money.

The owner was pleasant, and the pool and outdoor area are beautiful and relaxing. It was hard to find because the website has no directions. The place was clean, but the linens felt low quality and the pillows were poor. There’s an honesty bar, and the owner says a jacuzzi will be available next year. It’s near the cave kayaking, though you need a car to get around. Designated parking would help avoid confusion.

The pool area is a lovely spot to unwind after seeing the local sights, and breakfast is impressive for such a small guesthouse. They call it a guesthouse, but it’s more comfortable than most hotels. Fantastic place to stay in Carvoeiro. I’d happily stay again when I’m back in the Algarve.

We spent a whole day relaxing by the pool in the middle of a busy trip, and loved it. The saltwater pool was warm, the sun beds were comfortable, and with nobody else there all morning, it felt like a private resort. There are pool lights for an evening dip at sunset, plus a cooler with wine and other drinks at fair prices and bottle openers in the room. Our spacious room was very clean, and the bathroom’s huge bathtub and shower were a dream.
