Vivenda Summertime

There was plenty of room for our three families, each with two adults and two children, and we ended up having barbecues most evenings. Everything was high quality. A car would be useful, though Uber was easy to use when we needed it. Rudi replied quickly to my many emails, and both he and Kathleen were lovely and helpful from the booking right through to saying goodbye. We had a great time at Vivenda Summertime and hope to come back.

The house had loads of room indoors and out, and the quiet setting made for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, utensils, and tools. Our hosts were warm and lovely, and even offered to drive us to the supermarket. We spent nearly a week here and would consider returning. There are beaches around a 20-minute walk away, and it's a great spot if you enjoy tennis and swimming. A few things could use attention: the pool table, foosball table, and tennis racquets need upgrading, and there's only one small, old TV. A larger one with modern entertainment would have made the stay nicer. If you're sensitive to dust, the sofa and curtains could do with a thorough clean. A few black bin bags would also help. Without a rental car, the walk uphill to the dumpster takes about five minutes.

We loved the fantastic pool area, tennis courts, and two outdoor bbqs, with Carvoeiro within walking distance. The villa suits families with children as well as groups of adults. It's the best villa we've stayed in, and Rudi and Kathleen are perfect hosts who are happy to help with anything. Can't wait to book again.

The quiet neighbourhood was a good setting for working remotely, and the internet gave us no trouble. We stayed for two weeks and really liked the house, with the pool, tennis court, and garden as extra perks. The beach was about a 25-minute walk away. We preferred Praia do Vale de Centeanes, though both the beach and the centre of Carvoeiro were also within walking distance.
