PHILIP G.
We stayed one night during a road trip. The resort has a small village centre with a bakery, shops, and a beauty parlour. Many of the villas are behind the centre, more like a holiday village with pools and the like. Our room was on the village square, near the outdoor seating and shops, and we had a little patio. It was great for what we needed overnight. The restaurant was the only real disappointment. It felt sterile and had no atmosphere. The food was just okay, and the space could be much cozier with more stylish design. We were also next to a creche, so kids arriving in the morning were noisy. That was only really an issue because we had dogs with us and all the noise kept them barking.

The security staff were excellent, both morning and evening, and the apartment was spacious. Daily cleaning was a plus, too. But after a week at Villa Bicuda, I’d say the stay was just okay. The apartment was very dark, with no ceiling lights, only lamps scattered around. We also had a serious ant problem in the kitchen, bathroom, and cupboards. Reception sent someone to put pest powder outside, but ants were still inside and reception never followed up. At this price, I expected a stay without pests. Water also leaked in the bathroom area after using the tap and sinks. Watering the lawn mid-morning made having breakfast on the terrace a definite no. And the reception staff were cold and not very friendly when we arrived, with no proper introduction to the resort.

We came with 10 friends and every one of us was delighted. The rooms had plenty of space, the staff were quick to respond and so friendly, and the pool was always clean. The lifeguard was the nicest in the world. We really enjoyed our stay.

The peaceful, beautiful setting in Cascais is a big part of why I keep returning to Vila Bicuda Resort. It’s close to everything, too. The resort is clean and well cared for, with spacious, comfortable rooms and a professional, welcoming team that makes me feel at home. I’ve stayed here many times and it never disappoints. I’ll be back again.

A good place to stay, and friendly for families.
