Parque de Campismo Orbitur Guincho

We came in October 2025 and found the site better than we'd expected from the reviews. It's dated and could use an injection of cash and some TLC, but the location is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. We chose our own pitch, which gave us a sea view, and it was lovely to unwind to the sound of the waves. Arriving was a bit disorganized. Check-in didn't feel warm and gave us little detailed information. Some campers spread beyond their marked pitches, and nobody enforced the boundaries, so our space got encroached on. The nearby derelict chalets were an eyesore too. Toilet and shower door locks were hit or miss, and sometimes there was no toilet paper. Getting around was easy. Buses from the gate to Cascais and its railway station were excellent. Our dog could ride in a bag, and the low fare got us a 24 hour bus ticket. Cascais is a beautiful town with a marina, fort, beaches, and plenty to see. The train to Lisbon was quick and reasonably priced. Dogs could travel on it too, this time wearing a muzzle. Guincho beach nearby is wild and beautiful, and about a 15 minute walk away.

The location is really good for the beach and for getting into Cascais, where there are some very, very good restaurants. The pitches are quirky because of the haphazard pine trees, and there's a good shop and restaurant with lovely, helpful staff. My only real complaint is the toilet and shower blocks. They're so dilapidated, which is a shame, and at €40 pn in October I expected better. Even so, I'd go back.

The camping is good, but the check-in was a terrible experience. I waited 40 minutes, then another 30, an hour in line altogether with children. The service was unfriendly, and after that wait I won't come again. If only you knew what it's like to spend an hour in line with kids.

The campsite felt relaxed and secure, and the facilities were clean. There's a bus stop right outside the gate, and it goes to the station, making Lisbon easy to reach. Estoril circuit is nearby, and this is the classy end of town. Loved it. Pitch selection is a bit random, though you can book a specific pitch. Recommended, and I'd go back.
