Senhora da Guia Cascais Boutique Hotel

The ocean view, elegant gardens and beautiful building give the hotel an amazing feel. The service was great, especially from Mr. Jaime. They also have great food for people with celiac disease, including delicious gluten-free cakes!

The breakfast was both delicious and healthy, and you can use the bikes for free to get around Cascais. The rooms are stylish and very clean, and the hotel has great wellness facilities, including a spa, gym and pool. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful.

The room itself was lovely, and the receptionist on Monday morning was very good. But the hospitality really needs work. We arrived Friday at 18:30 and weren’t welcomed. There was no obvious room service, minibar, welcome drink, fruit or chocolate, just two coffee pods. I visited the spa twice and there were no staff there, so I didn’t book anything, which was a shame because it looked great. We were in the main building, and one afternoon my wife saw the man at reception asleep. The restaurant was strangely quiet, with only about six covers at its busiest when we saw it. There’s no bar, and the staff seemed to gather behind what used to be one. No wine list was offered, and when we asked, everyone in the restaurant seemed confused. The food wasn’t too bad, but the menu needs work. Staff seemed as if they’d been asked not to talk much to guests. Breakfast is a buffet, but nobody showed us to a table or explained what else we could order. We weren’t the only ones having that experience. Such a shame, because the place could be lovely if the service and facilities were better.

A friend recommended Longevity Sense Spa for our anniversary, and my partner and I were so impressed. The staff were lovely and attentive, and they made us feel special. The face massage was one of our favorite treatments, and it was probably one of the best spa experiences I’ve had. We’d definitely stay here if we holiday in the area again.
