I loved the owner's art collection and the architecture. It feels like you're a guest in the owner's home, not just at a hotel, and that's how much we loved it. The place is a little slice of heaven for escaping and relaxing, with a beautiful setting, delicious breakfast and the warmest service. We were given a lovely welcome, great restaurant recommendations and a late check-out. We'll be back.

I went for a retreat with Renata Cortês, held in the converted barn yoga room. Cork walls and flooring give it a distinctive, calm feel and smell. If you can, try the hamam and book a massage. It's a little pocket of calm and slow living. Everyone working here was kind and caring, and did their best to make me feel at home. I'll be thinking about this place for a long time. The room was perfect, and even the soap and creams are made by the lovely owner, which makes everything feel meaningful. The food comes from the farm or neighbouring farms, and is prepared with care and love. The flavours are delicate and beautiful. You can walk around and see the fruit trees that supply breakfast. Everywhere indoors, there are lovely colours, plants and thoughtfully placed art. It's a feast for the senses. The landscape helped me relax as soon as I arrived, and I felt safe and special here. The breeze, warm sun, wind in the trees and birdsong all add to the beauty.

The staff were so kind and accommodating, and worked hard to make our stay as good as possible. We're grateful for the experience and can't wait to come back with our family. Do book the hammam, it's extraordinary. For four nights, the hotel felt like home and gave us the getaway we needed. We started each day in the amazing yoga room, then had a delicious, hyper-local breakfast. We explored the region, spent afternoons by the pool and read in the cozy shared living room in the evenings. At night we could hear the bugs, and the chickens in the morning. It's rural and relaxed, but very well maintained. The design is impeccable without feeling fussy; every corner is cozy and inviting, and we could really relax and exhale. One thing to know: if you expect a classic hotel or resort with reception always available, this place may not suit you. It has more of a private rental or Airbnb feel, which worked perfectly for us but might not be for everyone.

The pool is small, but with deckchairs and shady spots it's a lovely place to unwind. Everything was quiet and discreet, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Elisabete and Ash. We spent a few days here in July and felt extraordinarily well. The former farmhouse sits in a quiet nature reserve, and its rooms are minimalist, understated and tastefully furnished, mixing modern finds with design classics. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh juices, plenty of herbs and delicious, healthy ingredients. Having it on the terrace overlooking the wide landscape made each day start perfectly. I'd recommend this peaceful, beautiful place to anyone looking for a quiet, unhurried break.

Don't miss the yoga session or hamam, both were a real highlight. Breakfast uses seasonal, local produce, with so much love in every plate. I felt wonderfully relaxed in the calm atmosphere, like I was visiting someone's home. This isn't a typical tourist hotel, it's an old farm turned into a stylish eco hotel, which makes it feel personal and genuinely unique. Loved this place, everything about it is a work of art.
