A great spot to spend the night.

The old house has a lot of character and was very interesting to stay in. Our room was clean, had everything we needed, and was inexpensive; a decent breakfast was included. The host was friendly. We could hear some road noise at night because our windows faced the road. Nearby, there's a river beach and a playground, and the restaurant Tascanha da tia, if I have the name right, serves tasty meat for an affordable dinner. We recommend it.

Fernando, the owner, told us, “This is my house, and now it's yours. Use it however you like.” That made us feel completely free. It's a wonderful, beautiful house, very clean, and every corner feels like something to explore in a museum. Absolutely recommended.

We stayed here a year ago, and I'm already looking forward to returning. It'll be my first stop on a trip after this damn pandemic. The stay was wonderful, just couldn't have been better. And don't miss the Friday market in Trancoso, especially the churrasco frango stalls. They might just make you cry!

A lovely place to get away from the big city and relax. I'd recommend having your own transport, because everything you'd want to do is far away.
