10/10
The hotel is very central in Chaves, so you can walk to everything. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety and fresh fruit. The spa isn’t huge, but booking a time slot in advance made it feel just right and less likely to get overcrowded. It costs 10€ per person per slot, with three daily shifts to choose from, and massages are available at extra cost. Everything was very well managed, the facilities are new, the king room was perfect, and the service was amazing. Ana made our time at the hotel and in Chaves much better, thank you! My only complaint was that the pillow felt a bit too soft. Otherwise, 5/5.

10/10
It’s a quiet, comfortable hotel in an attractive and interesting town, with an excellent bathroom and friendly, efficient staff. The location is great, and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve had in Portugal or Spain.

8/10
A nice room and a big, comfortable bed in a pleasant hotel. The staff weren’t very friendly, and the hot breakfast food was tepid at best with a limited selection.

6/10
The shower gel was empty, which I only noticed late at night when I was already wet and in the shower. The room was very cold when I arrived, with the AC set to 19 degrees, though I think it was even colder. There was also an electricity issue in the morning.

10/10
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the receptionist was friendly, very helpful, and spoke English. The location was exceedingly good for visiting both the old town and the river area. Breakfast was served in a great room with a good choice.
