We only came here to eat, we didn’t stay overnight. The residence is near a traditional street with shops, and the prices were very reasonable. It has a great atmosphere, and there are lots of traditional dishes to choose from. The food itself was just okay, though, so don’t expect anything so special that you’ll want to eat here every time. Still worth trying if you’re nearby or in town.

We had a great one night stay. The room was a good size and had a balcony, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple but did the job.

Not worth a euro, you’d be better off in a tent. The restaurant was one of the worst I’ve eaten at, and the waitresses were rude.

Chaves is a good place to visit in northern Portugal. My grandparents lived there, and I go back every summer. I enjoy my visits.

Great value for the money. The vitela no churrasco was excellent and huge. It felt like Portugal before the tourists.
