The rooms are simple, but ours had a great river view and the WiFi worked well. The hotel's right in Coimbra's old town, and the proprietress was friendly and helpful. Good value for the price, too.

A lovely, simple place to stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable, including the fairly firm mattress. There’s no hair dryer or coffee maker. The host was accommodating and very nice, and speaks some English. I’d happily recommend this little gem.

The room was cozy, warm and very clean, with a great view. The woman at reception was wonderfully friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful old building, though there's no lift.

We travel to explore the community, so my wife and I don't spend much on higher-end hotels we won't have time to enjoy. This place suited us well: basic European rooms with en-suite bathrooms, clean, safe and quiet. It's right on the main square by the river, with restaurants, bakeries and shops down the street. Hilda was a friendly host.
