JR Studios & Suites (Riu's)

We parked in the public lot next door, and we didn't have direct contact with anyone, so I can't really comment on service. The room was small but adequate, with a proper double bed rather than two singles pushed together, though it was quite small. It wasn't silent, but the noise didn't bother us too much. The streetlight lit up the room because there were no proper curtains, so if light keeps you awake, bring an eye mask. With one, we slept well.

The owner was nice, and the rooms were clean and tidy, though some parts were coming apart. Those things were manageable. The noise was the real problem. The hotel sits by a roundabout where motorcycle groups rev up for races, especially at night. Every few minutes an engine would roar so loudly the bed vibrated. Even with earplugs and the windows shut, sleeping was impossible. There were loud bass parties on the ground floor too. I wouldn't return.

It was quiet and clean, and the location was great. We had nearly everything we needed. A hot water pot was missing, and larger mugs would have been useful.

The bathroom exhaust fan was pretty noisy, but otherwise we had a perfect stay. Everything was clean and comfortable, with lovely design and decor. It's in a wonderful spot for walking to the tourist center, though you have to cross the bridge. There's parking right behind the building and a nice restaurant next door.
