Beautiful, comfortable places to stay are rare, and this felt like home to me. The house, room, and shared spaces were clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable. It had a sweet, artistic feel with a warmth that made staying there easy, without feeling like a hotel or like I was in the hosts' home. I'm sensitive to sound, and the quiet side street was perfect. The kindest part of my stay was Luci & Charles. I arrived in the middle of the night after a late flight. They arranged a late self-check-in, and as I was opening the gate, Charles appeared with a friendly smile. Luci had forgotten to switch on my bedroom light, so he got back up to make sure twice that I knew which room was mine and could settle in easily. So sweet. They stayed friendly and available throughout my visit, helping with anything related to my stay and suggesting places to visit. Charles also runs a small sourdough micro-bakery in the house. Sometimes he bakes fresh organic bread and focaccia, and the smell filling the space made me melt. I'd never been a focaccia person until I tried his. Honestly, it was so, so good. It may sound too good to be true, but that was my experience. I loved staying here, am grateful to have met Luci & Charles, and will 200% return. I can recommend the place wholeheartedly. PS: You have to try the focaccia. Thank me later. PPS: Before booking, I read some reviews here and wasn't sure who the owners or hosts had been back then. I didn't experience any of the negative comments myself. I wrote this in April 2025, and Luci & Charles have been the hosts for the last few years, I believe. Being hosted by them is a beautiful experience. A warm recommendation from me!

The hosts were excellent, and I'd happily stay here again. This cozy, clean place has a nice kitchen for making coffee or a meal to enjoy on the little back patio. You can't beat the location of this cute spot.

Casa Bolacha is a beautiful place to stay in a great location. The suite was well kept, and Luci and Charles were kind, responsive, and generous hosts. I really enjoyed my stay.

I spent a month at Casa Bolacha and loved every minute. The place was spotless and had everything I needed to feel at home. Charles, Luci, the kids, the dog, and the cat were the most welcoming family I've ever stayed with. The town is cute, and there's a great weekend farmers market just down the road. Being near Cascáis-Estoril and Sintra made it a perfect base for seeing the area. I walked and hiked a lot, exploring nearby beaches and coastal trails. It's a gorgeous area, and I'll definitely stay here again when I'm back.
