The breakfast was a real treat, and Ana made sure everyone had what they needed. The accommodation is relaxing and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful details and quality finishes. The rooms are lovely, and there’s plenty of outdoor space, both private and shared, including a wonderful hot tub. I rarely write a review before leaving, but our host Ana has been fabulous and we’re reluctant to go. It’s a lovely base where you know you’ll be looked after.

Our first trip to Portugal turned out to be a great success. The Lodge is clean and lovely, with a comfortable bed. Anna is a friendly host who offers tips on good restaurants and sightseeing. Having breakfast in the garden was so nice, and we also enjoyed a glass of wine on the roof terrace at night.

After a day of surfing, you can unwind on the sunroof or walk four minutes to the beach. In the evening, guests can join the barbecue, grill their own food, and spend time on the terrace. Sal da Costa is a great little place for surfing if you’d rather stay somewhere less touristy than Ericeira, though that village is only a 15-minute drive away. Ana takes care of everything and looks after her guests wonderfully. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the whole place has a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast is included, delicious, and made entirely with local products and ingredients. It’s a great mix of activity and relaxation with a nice local touch.

Ana and her mother Mena were the highlight for me. They were warm and easygoing from the start, and went out of their way to make sure my friend and I were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The house is a peaceful place to stay away from the bustle of Ericeira, while still being close enough to explore that lively, pretty town. We were looking for somewhere to settle for a couple of days after a long drive, and got a good feeling as soon as we arrived at Sal Da Costa. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Guests can use a lovely kitchen at any time, and there’s a sitting area, balconies for all the rooms, and an upstairs terrace for relaxing or doing yoga. The hot tub was perfect after a day in the sun at the beautiful beach of Sao Lourenco. Breakfast was included and very good, with a state-of-the-art coffee machine that made a lovely cup. Thank you, Ana and Mena. I’ll be back!

Ana was a fantastic host, kind and helpful throughout. The house felt lovely and homely, breakfast was good every morning, and the beach is very close. We’d highly recommend Sal Da Costa.
