Arthouse Bed and Breakfast

Please be careful. We booked three nights at Arthouse but left after the first because we couldn’t stand staying there any longer. We only asked for clean sheets because the ones we’d been given looked unwashed, as shown in the picture. Camila, the owner, responded with verbally abusive remarks. She was cold, aggressive, and unwelcoming, and I felt she only wanted our money. I left the hostel crying hysterically after she verbally attacked me. The next day, we came back to ask for our 10€ key deposit. Camila held the money in front of us, threatened to call the police, and refused to return it. She said, “why would I give you back your money when you will just leave and open your dirty mouth”. When I tried to stand up for myself, she even said my father hadn’t educated me. I found her abusive, racist, and malicious. I believe the hostel should be closed because she’s a threat to guests. Please don’t stay there or waste your money. Of course Camila has something to say, as she clearly can’t take responsibility for her treatment of her guests. At the end of the day it’s you and your business that is suffering, not me! And no, we never wanted an upgrade, all we wanted was to get as far away from you as possible :) hope our 10€ made you happy.

What a lovely place! The house and rooms were beautifully decorated with care, and everything was super clean and had an amazing ocean view when we first got in. Camila and the workers helped us with everything. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

The balcony has an amazing view over the ocean, and the center of Ericeira is nearby, about a 10-15 minute walk. The neighborhood isn’t too busy, and there are enough parking spots. The house is fully equipped, with the important cooking items and a washing machine. The host communicates well and responds quickly. I’d recommend this house to everyone.

I spent a week here doing yoga and surfing, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The place is amazing, relaxed, and feels like home. Camila treated us like family, and the sea view made those moments extra special. Definitely coming back!
