Fresh bread at the door in the morning was a perfect start to the day. There’s a shared pool, a bar and lots of ways to make your own braai. We spent a week in this lovely hidden gem, tucked into a small valley that feels like a jungle. Everything is handcrafted, and the friendly owners put a lot of effort into every detail.

The rooms have loads of character, and each one is different. Everything was spotless, and the whole place felt peaceful. Really special, with exceptional service.

We spent our days surfing around Ericeira and barbecuing in the evenings. Each morning there was freshly baked bread at the door, and on arrival we found lovely food and a bottle of wine. Mafalda was probably the best host we’ve ever met, and Luis has such an infectious love of life. We had an amazing time in August and will definitely come back. The site is completely unique, with incredible attention to detail. Luis built it all from scratch, including a cave and lagoon for cooling off in the blazing sun, a beach bar where you can make your own cocktails, and a fire pit to enjoy them by.

The owners have clearly put a lot of love and passion into this place, and they’re lovely and helpful. It’s a great little hideout for relaxing. Our room was very humid and had a strong, unpleasant smell, though. The other rooms didn’t seem to have that issue, so you may want to check before booking.
