Ericeira Surf Camp

After coming during the week, which made planning much easier, I found booking simple and the prices very competitive. The owner was busy but still made time to talk with guests and help everyone feel welcome. The surf course ran smoothly from registration through picking up the equipment. The boards and other gear for lessons or private rental were excellent quality and well maintained. The instructors have over 15 years of experience, and their detailed feedback each day helped everyone make visible progress. Group sizes changed from one day to the next, but the instructors still gave people individual attention and support. The accommodation was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a cozy, homely feel. I especially liked the comfortable lounge and laid-back terrace for relaxing after surfing. The beach was a short walk away, and breakfast had a good range of options, enough to keep you going through the morning. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and professional, and explained the details and procedures clearly. I’d highly recommend this surf school.

We had a great stay and booked five days of surf lessons despite having no experience. It worked perfectly for beginners. They arranged a barbecue on our first night, which made us feel especially welcome. We’d also accidentally booked equipment we didn’t end up needing, but getting a refund was no problem.

The rooms are simple and there’s no AC, and breakfast isn’t fancy, though it does the job. For the price, though, this is great value, with the best location in town and really good service. You can book lessons or rent surf gear through them. They’re flexible and will do what they can to help make things work. I had a really good time and would definitely return.

Ericeira is a nice place to spend time outside the surf lessons, and I really enjoyed my first surf camp experience here. Nunu was a great trainer and helped me find my footing on the board, many thanks for his guidance. The mostly young volunteers were so welcoming and made the experience much better. The rooms are mostly okay and have what you need. Breakfast is a bit limited and could be improved.
