The hostel is clean and well located, but there were some issues that affected the stay. People kept ringing the front doorbell, and others were shouting and playing guitar at 1:00 am. There were also people, possibly guests, sleeping in the lounge, which made the shared areas less usable during the day. I booked a package advertised as a "surf camp," though it works more like a regular hostel that arranges lessons through an outside provider. The surf side felt poorly organized. There was no skill assessment on the first day, and the second day's lesson was less suitable for beginners. The waves at that spot were heavy and advanced, and as an ocean swimmer and former lifeguard, I felt the conditions were unsafe. When I raised concerns, the instructor pointed to their years of experience. I got a minor injury and left the water early because it felt dangerous. I later shared my safety concerns privately with management. They responded defensively and called it a simple "scare," rather than addressing the lack of care. I can share the email. If you stay for the location, I'd book just the accommodation and use an independent, certified surf school in Ericeira that puts student comfort and ocean safety first.

The ocean view was beautiful, and the hostel was clean, safe, and quiet. The staff were incredible and very accommodating with storing our bikes and surf gear while we're bike packing. One of my favourite hostels I've stayed in!

It’s about a 10-minute walk to the main beaches, and the value for money is really good. The rooms are clean, and the staff are helpful and polite. I forgot to return the keys, but they just reminded me without making a fuss. I’d recommend it.

The hostel staff were welcoming and well organized. I had a great beginner surf lesson with Hugo, who explained things clearly and watched everyone's stance and technique closely. There were just five of us in the class, so he could give everyone plenty of attention.

The location is great, near the beach, grocery store, and city centre, and the price felt fair for what was included. The hostel was the best I've stayed at so far. Every area, from the rooms and restrooms to the kitchen and common room, was always really clean. It was relaxed, and the atmosphere with the other guests was the best I've experienced. The staff were amazing and caring, too. They offer really nice beginner surf lessons that I recommend, and Hugo was a great instructor.
