It felt like being at home, with really friendly staff and great rooms. The breakfast was good too. Honestly, it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

We stayed on the top floor, where the view over town and the ocean was the highlight. Having a balcony to enjoy it from was lovely. The room was spacious, quiet, and had a very comfortable bed. I slept really well. The hotel is right in the heart of town, just minutes from the square, shops, restaurants, and beach. Breakfast was delicious, and check-in was easy, with friendly people at the front desk. I loved my stay and would recommend the hotel. I’d stay here again.

The bed bugs were in the headboard. I was scrolling on my phone before bed when I saw one crawl past my pillow. We got up right away and checked the mattress, where we found nothing, but then saw more bugs on the pillows. At first, the night receptionist hesitated to give us another room and wanted to check with the manager, who wasn’t answering at 2 a.m. We eventually moved, but of course couldn’t sleep. In the morning, nobody offered help washing our clothes at 60C, and many items were ruined in the wash. The manager even tried to blame us for the bed bugs. We only got the night refunded, and they wouldn’t cover any of the extra costs from the incident. We know bed bugs can happen even in the most luxurious hotels, but the lack of help afterwards was unacceptable. The whole thing ruined our trip.

On the second day of our three-night stay, I noticed bites on my body but waited to bring it up until I was sure. By the third morning, there were new bites, clearly from bed bugs. I’m allergic, so it was obvious, and I was sure I’d got them at the hotel. Before checkout, I showed the staff my swollen arm and told them. They acknowledged it politely, but that was all. There was no refund or compensation, and no help with laundry. We had to wash all our things so we wouldn’t bring any bugs home. I understand these things can happen at hotels, but I was very disappointed by the way they did nothing to handle it.
