We felt unwelcome from the start. We were reluctantly shown our room, and breakfast was slammed onto the table. That was disappointing, especially in such a lovely city as Estremoz. We enjoyed every second everywhere else, but this hotel didn’t reflect the place at all. We left without tipping because of the way we were treated.

The old building itself was fine, and breakfast was simple but good. The real trouble came at checkout: staff asked us to pay the €45 again, even though we had paid online when booking. They didn’t speak English and wouldn’t take our word for it. Only after we showed the PayPal transaction did they return the money. On arrival, they also couldn’t find us on the guest list, though they did have a room available. The stay was okay, but communicating with the staff was difficult, so I’m giving it three stars.

Arrogant staff and dirty toilets. You even have to ask just to use the toilet. One star is deserved, and I’m never coming back, not even for an ice cream.

Breakfast was included, along with hot water in a spacious bathroom, clean sheets, and a comfortable bed, all for 25 euros. I may have just been lucky to get the big balcony, but it made the deal fantastic.

Really good value for the price. The staff were super friendly and didn’t charge us for breakfast, even though we were two hours past the due time.
