Moov Hotel Évora

The hotel was clean and well kept, and the staff were professional and helpful. We just couldn’t get comfortable on the mattress. It made a plasticky noise whenever we moved.

Parking was available for 10 euros a day, and the location was great. Our room was fairly spacious and quiet, but very basic, with shampoo and no body soap or fridge. The ventilation was poor, and the entire hotel had a strong floral smell that could be unpleasant if you're sensitive to scents. There was mold on the shower tiles. We both had reactions overnight, and assume there may have been mold in the room too.

They let me check in early when I arrived at 11 a.m. and found my room was ready. I’m always grateful when staff are that thoughtful, and it alone would make me want to return. The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the towels were wonderfully soft. It’s about a 20-minute walk or a five-minute drive from the train station, but with luggage I’d take a taxi since the sidewalks are all pebble. The main plaza is a 10-minute walk away. Great value.

I was very pleased with the hotel's quality and, especially, the service from the staff. Claudio, a young man working there, took great care with the medication I need for severe rheumatoid arthritis. It has to stay within a certain temperature range or I get very sick. When I explained this at the desk, he immediately took it to the hotel refrigerator and reassured me it would be okay. Moov Hotels management, please recognize the outstanding service Claudio provides. People like him leave a great impression on American guests, who then tell people back home about your hotel.
