Fafe is well connected, and there’s plenty to see nearby, from a car museum to a water park. We stayed in the larger stone house, which was stunning and had every luxury, including air conditioning. The shared lounge is where breakfast is served, and it has a pool table, foosball, and board games to use throughout the day. The family hosts deserve a special mention. They do a lot to make you comfortable, staying attentive while giving you space. It’s a great family getaway: the kids loved the clean saltwater pool, and the garden is beautifully kept, with grass, trees, and sun loungers for relaxing. There’s also a huge estate with vineyards and fruit trees that guests are invited to sample. Well worth a visit!
