The Oak´S Wolf-Country House

The house looks lovely from the outside, but the inside has a few things that let it down, and it’s expensive for what you get. The jacuzzi shown in the listing didn’t work, and hot water wasn’t always available. There were no kitchen cloths or towels. Two gardeners came into the house halfway through our holiday without warning and made noise from 8:30 in the morning. We were given only one remote for the main gate, so with two couples there’s a chance someone could end up locked inside. The owner said twice he’d come by with some missing items, but never showed up. One kitchen cupboard had no door, the only usable shower had a blocked drain, the toilet kept leaking, and the doors had no latches.

We didn’t get to stay as long as we’d hoped, but the location was very peaceful. The garden is huge, well cared for, and has a safe area for children to play. The house does have a few things to attend to, but it’s spacious, welcoming, nicely furnished, and clean. The beds were especially comfortable. The owner was helpful and always available if we had a question. We’d certainly return.

The accommodation was five-star, and the location was so peaceful. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The owner was also five-star, always available and checking in each day to see how our stay was going. They provided dishes, towels, and cleaning during our visit. I have no complaints. Of the holiday places I’ve booked, few owners have been as helpful as Sr. Hélder. I definitely recommend it and would come back.

There were too many problems to make me want to return. The host wasn’t available and didn’t keep their word, and some of the amenities they said were there were broken or missing. The kitchen cupboards were damaged, the bathrooms weren’t working properly, and we didn’t have basic things like mugs, basins, a drying rack, kitchen cloths, or tablecloths. It was far too expensive for the experience we had.
