The terrace looks out over the ocean, almost like watching the world from Mt Olympus. The house was spotless and had amazing facilities, and the outdoor BBQ area was great for cooking with fresh ingredients from nearby. You'll need a car to reach the closest beach, though walkers have plenty to do, and staying in to relax on the terrace is nice too.

The house and its surroundings are beautiful, which made our Christmas stay all the more disappointing. The fireplace didn't work, so the house stayed very cold; the administrator brought fan heaters, but they weren't a good fix. On the third day, the fuse box burned out while we were asleep at night. We were lucky the whole house didn't catch fire. There were no smoke detectors, which I consider very negligent. We received no discount, and the administrator didn't seem to care whether we left a negative rating.

Bad accommodation. Visitors weren't allowed in the room, and the owner was an angry person.

Studio One is a great fit for two, with new equipment for cooking and laundry. The terrace is a lovely place to have a drink. Fajã da Calheta itself is magnificent, with striking sea views and picturesque scenery.

Studio One was a great little place, more than enough for the two of us while we went hiking and swimming.
