The pool and grounds made it easy to unwind, and there were big pool towels and plenty of parking. Liz and Alex were always reachable on WhatsApp, which kept everything simple. We stayed five nights at Amago, September 16-21, as the last stop on a three-week Portugal road trip, and it was a lovely way to finish. The place is beautiful, very clean, carefully put together, and in a peaceful spot that’s still well connected. Liz and Alex made us feel at home with their warm, personal approach. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and coffee and water were free, with cold drinks at fair prices. At arrival we got useful tips for restaurants, bars, cafés, sights, and beaches, plus a handy Google Maps overview. We’d happily come back to Amago on another trip. Huge thanks to Liz and Alex!

Liz and Alex gave us wonderful suggestions for places to go, including the most magical lunch. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and we especially liked the privacy of room 1 and the jasmine by the door. Breakfast was delicious too. We loved being here and can’t wait to return. Alex and Liz made us feel so welcome, and the place is a quiet haven from everyday life. We loved the three nights we spent here. From the moment we entered the gates it felt like home. The garden, pool, and rooms have all been beautifully renovated and carry a calm sense of slow living. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty each day, and the honesty bar was great and fairly priced. It was just right for our Algarve trip, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

The beds were so comfortable that we slept really well, and the pool was a great place to relax. Amago’s property and garden feel enchanting, with so much care in the details. You can tell Liz and Alex have put a lot of passion into the place. Breakfast was fresh every day, with a good range and excellent quality. The location is handy for the sea and for several charming towns worth a visit. We felt at home and would love to come back. Highly recommend Amago.
