Faro Albacor Residence - Hostel

The first day was a really upsetting experience, and I'd like a refund for the trouble it caused. My friend and I were told on arrival that we'd been upgraded because our booked room had no AC. The place had been overbooked, so they couldn't give us the room we'd reserved. A woman and three men started walking us to another building, but the woman suddenly left, and we were on our own with the three men. It wasn't far, but the area was dark and isolated, and we felt very uncomfortable. The room was on the third floor with no lift, so we had to carry our backpacks up the stairs. Then we learned the bathroom was outside the room, which wasn't what we'd paid for. It cost €50 per person per night, which isn't cheap, and we didn't feel safe staying there overnight. I said we wanted the room we'd booked in the main building, nearer the old city. They took us back and gave us a room with two fans because it was incredibly hot inside. The room was basic, with no shower shelf for toiletries, and water kept collecting in the shower room instead of draining. The next day was disrupted while we moved our things into the official room we had originally booked. We also found that the room hadn't been cleaned on its scheduled day. It was only cleaned after we asked the day before we left.
