The room was comfortable, with a private bathroom and a balcony over the street. They supplied bottled water, and you can ask for a hairdryer. There are large bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful from the start. The airport and beach bus stop is a one-minute walk away, but check the bus times. A great local café-restaurant is five minutes on foot, the one with 1968 written in the tiles on the footpath outside. The marina, for sightseeing or boat tours, is about a 15-minute walk. Highly recommend ❤️

Cleanliness and basic hospitality both fell short during my stay. The owner was rude and disrespectful, and when I asked simple questions, they were aggressive rather than helpful. I didn't feel welcomed or treated with even basic courtesy. I'd advise people to think carefully before booking. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I stayed for a week. The other staff were very nice, but the owner was rude and disrespectful, which made the experience very bad. When we booked, the owner said they'd provide a fan, but we didn't get one until the third night. We also told the owner ahead of time one morning that we would be 15 minutes late, and they said that was okay. Then they shouted at us, and we didn't even get a chance to shower. The place itself wasn't that bad, but the owner's behaviour was awful.

The bedding and towels were stained and dirty, and the place was poorly maintained. The staff weren't friendly, though some reviews describe worse treatment than we had. For the price, I wouldn't bother. If you want a relaxing stay in Faro and helpful tips about the region, look elsewhere. If low hygiene and little tourism are what you want to pay for, book here.
