We had such a good time that we’re already talking about staying longer on our next trip to Portugal, probably next autumn. We were there for two nights in early May, and both the owner and the staff were friendly and polite. Everything was spotless, and the fixtures and furnishings looked new or in very good shape. Our spacious room had air conditioning, a multi-channel TV, and a view of the outdoor pool. The breakfast was a continental buffet with all the usual choices, and they’ll make eggs if you ask. Each room has a useful booklet with house rules and local restaurant and taxi details. There’s also an honesty bar in the games room, fairly well stocked and priced so reasonably that cheating wouldn’t be worth it.

We’ll definitely come back. The room was beautiful and roomy, breakfast was lovely, and everyone was so friendly. They grow oranges there, and they were delicious. There’s a rooftop terrace too, a nice spot to watch the sunset.

We’re planning to return on our next Algarve holiday. Vila Milreu Guest House has a swimming pool, a rooftop terrace, and a cozy lounge upstairs. Downstairs, the leisure room has a billiard table, a bar, and books in both English and Portuguese. The place is tastefully decorated and very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It was our first visit to Portugal, and this was a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were clean, the women who own the guest house were excellent, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. I’d happily recommend it to everyone. Thank you!

After breakfast, my favourite spot was the garden table beside the pool. The guest house is quiet, very clean and well cared for, and it’s not far from Faro. Joana gave us a warm welcome, and her team were friendly and looked after us well, including at breakfast. My son and I stayed for seven nights and really enjoyed it. I’d highly recommend the place.
