I can’t think of a better setting for a six-day yoga and wellness retreat. Vila Vale Mouro is warm, beautiful, luxurious and relaxing, and I’d give it more stars if I could. The bedrooms are large, with individual temperature controls and private bathrooms. The pool area is spacious and has everything you could want. There’s just so much to love about this place.

I spent a week here in mid-July for a wellness retreat. It was hot, so having the pool was perfect. The whole place was beautiful and clean, and there’s plenty of land around the vila to enjoy the views. We even used the game room as our yoga space. I hope the retreat organizer books this location again sometime soon.

I was here for a yoga retreat from 15-21 July 2023, and the setting was beautiful, with ocean (!) and mountain views. Even the blue and white exterior was lovely. The staff were great and accommodating, and the food was stellar. It feels quiet and tucked away while still being close to Faro. Estoi is a nice little town too!

The owners are terrific and go above and beyond. We had such a great stay last summer, and the place exceeded all our expectations. I loved everything, from the grand entrance and gardens to the big bedrooms and kitchen. I highly recommend it for a large group, and we’re already looking forward to coming back for more trips. The pool is great, and there’s a fantastic barbecue and pizza oven. The villa is really well equipped, and they even provide turndown service. My only gripe is the shade by the pool. The umbrellas kept blowing over in the wind, so that area could use something new.
