Albano Hotel

It was 3 pm, with the door open, a sign advertising snacks, and customers still sitting at a table. We went in and a man immediately told us, quite rudely and close to outright bad manners, that he had nothing left to serve. We left certain we’d never go back. I’ve never been treated that way in a restaurant. All he showed us was bad manners. “Disappointing” is the right word.

I was treated badly because I’m Black. LAMENTÀVEL, an incident at this hotel that I’ll never forget. I made a reservation by phone, but when I arrived in person, there was supposedly no room available. The hotel is of very poor standard, and the service was even worse.

Terrible service. The man was very rude. I had made a reservation and had the confirmation, but he still refused to give me a room. I ended up looking for somewhere else to stay.

The daily meals felt joyless, basic for the price, though still acceptable. They don’t live up to the restaurant’s past.
