The lovely ladies provided impeccable service, and breakfast felt like being at home with grandma, made with love. The place is charming, with beautiful old framed photos of the city as it used to be, thoughtful decor, and so many clean little details. I've found a new home away from home.

Annabella made our stay at Marina Charming House especially nice. She's a wonderful owner, friendly, kind, and always helpful. The hotel is small and lovely, with a bright, clean building and room, comfortable beds, and excellent service. The location is fantastic. I can't say enough good things, and would highly recommend it. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Annabella!

The place is modern and exceptionally clean, the staff are nice, and breakfast is fine. I wanted to give it five stars, but the fire alarm went off by mistake, apparently, in the middle of the night and rang for 20 minutes. There was no staff on site overnight. Without someone in my group having the proprietor's personal contact information, we wouldn't have been able to turn it off. Emergency services didn't show up either, for what it's worth. The whole thing was concerning and annoying.

The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the water pressure was fine, but the stay ended on a really unpleasant note. The next morning the manager confronted me aggressively about this review, said I shouldn't come if I don't speak Portuguese, that it wasn't all about me, and that I should pay more if I wanted a bigger room. We booked a triple room on the website, though, and barely had space to open our suitcases. Getting into the room was a struggle too. It was a double room with a third bed squeezed in, leaving only about 30 cm to pass toward the toilet. The wardrobe door couldn't open all the way, and I hit my foot on it trying to reach the other side of the bed. It didn't feel safe for kids. The WiFi didn't work. At check-in, the front desk woman spoke little English, and we spent 30 minutes trying to find our reservation on the computer screen. As we left, the manager nearly started another argument and sarcastically wished us a good trip.

The location made getting around easy, with bars, restaurants, and the beach all within walking distance. The staff were really friendly and ready to help with tips or any problems. A very nice place to stay.
