Brigette was a wonderful host, always attentive and available. Each morning she brought fresh coffee and a breakfast basket to our door, such a treat. We stayed in the “casa do ouro,” which was perfect for our group, and our little puppy had trails to explore with us. The walks were peaceful, and the countryside is beautiful, even though town is only five minutes away. There are grocery stores, restaurants and cafes nearby. Central heating kept us cosy in winter, and we had a relaxing, bucolic getaway. We’ll definitely return in warmer weather and perhaps visit one of the nearby “Praia de fluviais” or river beaches.

We spent a week in the farmhouse and had a wonderful time. It’s a small, interesting farm on the edge of a little town with cafes and bars, and the location is ideal for touring. The owner was friendly and helpful. I haven’t slept so peacefully in ages.

We came back again in October 2025, and Casa Brigitte was as superb as ever. It was especially nice seeing Bernard getting this year’s wine harvest ready. On our second visit to this peaceful place, the accommodation was comfortable, spacious, clean and private, and breakfast was included. Brigitte was as helpful as ever, with thoughtful advice and a real wish to make our stay perfect. We’d happily recommend Quinta do Sobral and would stay again. Many thanks for another wonderful visit.

The owners were kind enough to let me check in at 20:00 on the night I arrived, while I was making my way through central Portugal. The place looks just like the photos, with a goddess lily pond and a beautiful vineyard to wander through. As a writer travelling solo, I left feeling inspired and nourished. I especially enjoyed the elegant breakfast, which is included, a true BnB. A romantic little dream of a place, almost like a slice of heaven. Thanks, folks, perhaps I’ll see you again sometime. - Diamond.

Bridget and Bernard made us feel very welcome, and our two dogs were welcome too. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The pool area looked lovely, though in November we didn’t use it. Breakfast was generous and filling, and the scrambled eggs were amazing. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to family and friends.
