Taking the whole house was a great choice. It’s comfortable and family-friendly throughout, and Hugo was always available, friendly, and willing to adapt to our needs and requests. Both pools were quiet and very well kept. We also liked the barbecue, which is close to the main kitchen. The interiors and exterior are all very nice. I’d recommend it to families, groups of friends with kids, or anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay.

A lovely base for scenic day trips, with lots to see nearby. The hosts were very nice, and breakfast was great, especially the homemade baked goods and jams. We didn’t try the pool, but we’d love to come back in summer. The place was clean, well designed, and looked just like the photos. A lovely getaway in Serra da Estrela.

Hugo and his family were such lovely hosts, and we’ll definitely come back. The house was beautiful and well equipped, with a private pool, and it worked well for small children. We spent two nights in this amazing area and had a great stay.

The owners were wonderful hosts, and the place has all the amenities you need for some time off. It’s also in a very good location for exploring the region. Definitely recommended!

Staying in Casa da Lareira, just the two of us, gave us everything we could wish for at Encosta do Sobreiro. The house is thoughtfully designed, warm, and cozy, and the owners are kind and make sure you have what you need and more. We spent our time relaxing by the fireplace, looking out through the large windows, and walking in the green valley. It felt like time had stood still, and we left completely relaxed. Thank you, Luisa! We hope to return one day.
