The location is good, and breakfast was okay, but there were no vegetables, just ham and cheese. The hallways and rooms need a proper clean and renovation.

Really good staff and breakfast, with a sea view. Close to everything too, including the market, bus stops, and the beach.

Staff were friendly, but the management was a real disappointment. We booked one night after our flight was cancelled, and the place seemed sort of clean. On the morning of 23.5, we woke up with bed bug bites. I tried to get a conversation going with management, but still haven’t had a reply. Not a pleasant stay.

We left the disastrous Alojamento Central I and ended up here by default. The managers offered us rooms in building 2 for an extra charge, but it was hardly an improvement. The place was dirty, cold, smelly, and old, and breakfast was just as bad as at the other hotel. The bathroom had a crumbling ceiling, a moldy and rusty tub, terrible humidity, and towels that never dried. The beds were basically a fakir’s mattress on a platform with four wooden blocks. We spent New Year’s Eve there and the rooftop did have one of the best views in the city for the fireworks. But hotel guests still have to pay €40 to use the terrace. The alternative was a New Year’s Eve banquet at the restaurant, with a menu made from pre-packaged food and wine that costs €1 per hectoliter, all for €130 per adult. A scandal. We left two days early because we were fed up, and they pretty much ruined our vacation. Even after our complaints, there was no remorse, apology, goodwill gesture, or anything. They did warn guests there’d be no housekeeping on January 1st. This is one of the worst places I’ve stayed. Don’t trust the good reviews, they’re fake!
